Mission Statement: We guided by Christian values, in partnership with parents, the local community of Għajnsielem, our colleagues of the Gozo College, and the pupils themselves, strive to ensure that all students get the education they need to enable them to fulfil their potential and aspirations and prepare them for life in contemporary society.
Profile: Gozo College Għajnsielem Primary School was inaugurated in September 1965 and is visible by all visitors to Gozo proceeding up the road from Mgarr Harbour. The present school was built on a wide open area and in subsequent years parts of it were taken over by the then Posts Department, now Maltapost, the Art School and the Works Department. It still boasts a large yard and a small garden.
Before this present school was built, schooling was given in three separate locations, namely in a part leased from the Friars College in St. Anthony Street, in a house in Hamri Street as well as in a large building known as the old school in the same street, now occupied by foreign residents.
Student population in scholastic year 2014 – 2015 is 127. We have 2 classes at Kinder 1, 1 class at Kinder 2 and another class in each year group.
School staff comprises of a Head, an Asst. Head, 7 teachers, 8 LSA’s, 4 KA’s, 1 Asst. Principal, 1 senior clerk and 3 minor staff.
