  • Bħala parti mill-Festival tal-Ktieb fuq il-Kampus, Inizjamed se jkun qed jorganizza Palk Ħieles il-Ġimgħa 23 ta’ Marzu fis-7pm fil-quadrangle tal-Università. L-attività se tilqa’ lill-mistieden speċjali Jasmin B. Frelih, awtur Sloven u rebbieħ tal-premju għall-letteratura tal-Unjoni Ewropea. Din hi opportunità unika għall-istudenti u l-pubbliku biex jiltaqgħu mal-awtur u jisimgħu kliemu.

    L-Inizjamed se jġibu magħhom il-passjoni li għandhom lejn il-letteratura, billi joffru spazju għal kull min jixtieq jaqsam xi bċejjeċ letterarji mal-udjenza. Wieħed jista’ jaqra xi poeżija, storja, jagħmel xi stand up, ikanta kanzunetta oriġinali jew jesprimi dak li jaħseb jista’ jkun interessanti għal din l-udjenza. L-interventi jistgħu jkunu bi kwalunkwe djalett jew lingwa.

    Il-Festival tal-Ktieb fuq il-Kampus huwa organizzat mill-Kunsill Nazzjonali tal-Ktieb u l-Għaqda tal-Malti, b’attivitajiet bejn id-9.00am sal-4.00 pm. Il-Ġimgħa l-attivtajiet jibqgħu sejrin sat-tard. Il-Festival għandu l-għan li jippromwovi l-letteratura waqt li jagħti spazju lill-pubblikaturi u lid-distributuri tal-kotba biex jippromwovu u jbigħu l-pubblikazzjonijiet tagħhom. Il-programm tal-Festival huwa varjat u joffri firxa wiesgħa ta’ avvenimenti li jolqtu l-interessi ta’ ħafna, u jinkludi tnedijiet ta’ kotba, taħditiet u films, workshops u mużika lajv.

    As part of the Campus Book Festival, Inizjamed will be organising an Open Mic session on Friday 23 March at 7 pm at the University quadrangle. The event will host special guest Jasmin B. Frelih, Slovenian author and winner of the European Union Prize for Literature. This is a unique opportunity for University students and the public to meet the author and hear his words.

    Inizjamed bring over to Campus their enthusiasm towards literature, by offering a platform for anybody wishing to share literary excerpts they are passionate about. One can read a poem, a story, do any sort of stand up, sing an original song or express anything deemed shareable with an audience. Interventions are welcome in any dialect or language.

    The Campus Book Festival is organised by the National Book Council and the Għaqda tal-Malti, kicking off daily at 9 am with back-to-back activities planned until 4 pm. On Friday the activities will continue until late. The Festival aims to promote literature while giving publishers and book distributors a platform to sell and promote their publications. The Festival’s programme is vast and offers a wide range of events to suit many interests, from book launches and talks to film screenings, workshops and live music.
