  • Il-mużiċist u kompożitur żagħżugħ ġdid fix-xena lokali, Noah Fabri, se jkun qiegħed idoqq waqt il-Festival tal-Ktieb fuq il-Kampus it-Tnejn 21 ta’ Marzu fil-Kwadranglu tal-Università. B’mużika alternattiva għall-aħħar, Noah se jaqsam mal-udjenza kanzunetti mill-album diġitali tiegħu, li rrekordja d-dar, bl-isem 'The psychiatrist never called back', kollezzjoni ta’ kanzunetti esperimentali ħafna mill-aspett ta' melodija, imżewqin b'lirika intelliġenti li tesplora temi adulti.

Noah Fabri għandu 18-il sena. Hu jdoqq il-kitarra u jistudja l-antropoloġija. Iħobb lill-Beatles u lil David Bowie, u l-mużika jazz u folk. Iħobb jaqra. Fi kliemu, iħobb jaħli l-ħin. Jista’ jkun li hu anarkista imma għadu mhux ċert. “Bdejt ngħix ta’ 17-il sena u qabel dan bdejt nikteb u ndoqq il-mużika. F’xi punt f’ħajti tgħallimt xi ħaġa. Inħobb kollox u lil kulħadd bl-istess mod.” Il-bijografija ta’ Noah tagħti ħjiel ta’ x’wieħed għandu jistenna fil-kunċert.

    Il-Festival tal-Ktieb fuq il-Kampus huwa organizzat mill-Kunsill Nazzjonali tal-Ktieb u l-Għaqda tal-Malti, b’attivitajiet bejn id-9.00am sal-4.00 pm. Il-Ġimgħa l-attivtajiet jibqgħu sejrin sat-tard. Il-Festival għandu l-għan li jippromwovi l-letteratura waqt li jagħti spazju lill-pubblikaturi u lid-distributuri tal-kotba biex jippromwovu u jbigħu l-pubblikazzjonijiet tagħhom. Il-programm tal-Festival huwa varjat u joffri firxa wiesgħa ta’ avvenimenti li jolqtu l-interessi ta’ ħafna, u jinkludi tnedijiet ta’ kotba, taħditiet u films, workshops u mużika lajv.

Up and coming young musician and song writer Noah Fabri will be playing during the Campus Book Festival on Monday 21 March at 2 pm on the University’s quadrangle. As alternative as they come, Noah will share with the audience songs from his home-recorded digital album 'The psychiatrist never called back', a collection of songs that experiment with sounds and ‘noise’ and explore adult themes through clever lyrics.

Noah Fabri is 18 years old. He plays guitar and studies anthropology. He loves The Beatles, David Bowie, and folk and jazz music. He loves reading. In his own words he’s a time waster. He could be an anarchist but he’s not sure yet. “I started living at seventeen and before that I made music. I learned something at some point. I like everything and everyone equally.” Noah’s bio is an indicator of what to expect during his gig.

The Campus Book Festival is organised by the National Book Council and the Għaqda tal-Malti, kicking off daily at 9 am with back-to-back activities planned until 4 pm. On Friday the activities will continue until late. The Festival aims to promote literature while giving publishers and book distributors a platform to sell and promote their publications. The Festival’s programme is vast and offers a wide range of events to suit many interests, from book launches and talks to film screenings, workshops and live music.
